Lathlain Playgroup (previously Lathlain Carlisle Playgroup Inc) is a not for profit organisation that has been providing local families with children from newborn to 5 years old with a playgroup venue for more than 20 years.

Our Playgroup caters for up to 150 culturally diverse families from Carlisle, Cloverdale, East Victoria Park, Kewdale, Lathlain, Rivervale and Victoria Park. We welcome mums, dads, grandparents and carers.
Our families range from mothers’ groups that wish to meet at a safe and centralised location to new parents in the area looking to be part of a community play centre for their children.
Our Playgroup operates from Monday to Friday all year round, including school holidays. We offer two session times per day, a morning and afternoon session, and these times are flexible depending on the needs of the group. We provide a free 2 week trial. Contact us to arrange.
Each session has a maximum of 15 families and a minimum of 4. We offer placement of families with children of a similar age if there are spaces available. Older siblings can attend during school holidays.
Located at the purpose built Keith Hayes Community Centre, our members have access to a brand new, gated venue that has a permanently set up indoor activity space, an undercover alfresco and a grassed shaded natureplay outdoor area.
We hold community events across the year where families from the Playgroup can meet and socialise, including our very popular free Christmas Carnival.
Members only can host birthday parties at the venue for a nominal fee with all proceeds going towards new toys.
Our Playgroup is run by a committee of volunteers whose goal is to make Playgroup an enjoyable experience for all members. Along with the core committee positions, each session has a Day Leader whose role is to coordinate their session, represent the interests of their group on the Playgroup Committee and liaise with the committee in the running of the Playgroup.
The committee and day leaders attend 5 meetings per year including the AGM. All members are welcome to attend.
